We woke up in Malta at 5 AM and got our rental car in Ragusa at 3:30 PM. In-between was the hovercraft and maybe an hour on two perfectly connecting buses. The other eight hours were spent walking, looking for the bus, looking for the rental car place, having lunch, and then waiting for the rental car place to reopen after its 150-minute lunch.

The bus ride from Pozzallo to Ragusa took us past this tall bridge across a valley.

At last, the rental car. Precisely as the agent handed us the key, the deluge began. Fortunately it only lasted about fifteen minutes.
