I would guess that there are several hundred million new images taken every day ini the world; and with the internet and all, each one of them can be disseminated to every potential consumer of images. Why do we even try amusing you with pictures? You could be browsing the complete works of Ansel Adams or Nan Goldin or everybody with ten miles of the World Trade Center on 9/11 right now. Why are you here? What is the function of art, or recording of any kind, in the face of such a tsunami of overproduction?
