Tzirzet and Temet

We spent a few days at the eastern edge of the Air range. We traveled by camel for two days from the tiny village of Tzirzet, and then got back in the vehicles up to the dunes at Temet, said to be the largest in the Sahara.

The color balance is weird out here in the Ténéré, it's so bright it looks like you have the wrong white selected — in your eyes.

It's kind of pretty up here. You can see it in the photos. Mostly at the time I was aware of how hard it was to climb uphill in sand.

Near Temet, there's a spring where we refilled the water jugs and the goat skins, and had a chance to wash off some of the sweat and sand.

This goat was chosen to be dinner for the next couple nights — the previous few had been completely vegetarian.
